Justin Kyle Davis | Attorney
Justin “Kyle” Davis brings an entrepreneurial edge and a wide-ranging practice to Gies Law Firm. A Tulsa native, Kyle made his way to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma before settling in Oklahoma City, where he earned his Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2018. During law school, Kyle gravitated toward advocacy and public-interest work, contributing to the Oklahoma Innocence Project and the Oklahoma chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He also competed twice on OCU Law’s Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition team, sharpening the litigation and analytical skills that continue to shape his practice today.
Kyle began his legal career in true startup fashion. As a founding member of Climb Collective, a cannabis-industry-focused law group in Oklahoma City. At the same time, he helped launch Overman Legal Group, a litigation and criminal defense firm operating alongside Climb. As a partner at Climb, Kyle worked with hundreds of Oklahoma-licensed growers, processors, dispensaries, and laboratories, advising clients on licensing, regulatory compliance, contracts, intellectual property, and dispute resolution. Across both ventures, his practice evolved into a diverse mix of transactional work, real estate matters, administrative appeals, and criminal defense, giving him a practical, business-minded approach to problem solving.
Outside the office, Kyle is rarely sitting still. You might find him at a Thunder game, flipping through vinyl at Guestroom Records, onstage with his band, My So Called Band, or exploring Oklahoma City’s food scene with his girlfriend, Danielle. When he’s closer to home, he’s usually cooking, gaming, or relaxing with his cats, Webster and Lucy.
